Our catalytic pilot preheaters are available with either a 12-volt or 120-volt starting element.
A Dual Heat Exchange Coil allows the unit to heat two supply lines at once. This is commonly used with multiple regulators being used as worker/monitors or for stations taking multiple pressure cuts.
All of our Model 2600 pilot preheaters include a fuel gas regulator that can take up to 150 PSI. If your only gas pressure available is above 150 PSI, we recommend the high pressure fuel gas regulator option.
For most outdoor applications, CATCO recommends using heaters without the valve and thermocouple. The low temperature shutoff valve shuts the heater off in the event of a failure, but makes the heaters less reliable.
Our catalytic space heaters vary in size and BTU rating, so choosing the right product begins with assessing the space that you are trying to heat. Here are a few examples to demonstrate how our space heaters can affect the temperature within some commonly sized buildings and enclosures.
(8) 24x60 heaters (480,000 BTU total) will raise the average temperature inside the building by 65F.
(4) 12x36 heaters (72,000 BTU total) will raise the average temperature inside the building by 65F.
(2) 12x36 heaters (36,000 BTU total) will raise the average temperature inside the building by 65F.
(1) 12 x 12 heater (6,000 BTU total) will raise the average temperature inside the enclosure by 35F.
